Managed filing service pending Indiana authorization

Planned workflow

Four separate gates before any filing step.

This is a planned workflow, not a live filing path. The carrier still owns the Indiana account and every approval.

POA-1

A handwritten mark that names a person.

Indiana Form POA-1. It names a real person at CarrierAgent, not only the company. The signature has to be handwritten. A typed name is not accepted. It covers IFTA filing only. You can revoke it with a POA-R.

IFTA filing only. Never the refund check. You can revoke it.

Who this is for

One authority. Trucks. Accounts. A money wall.

The carrier authority is the tenant. Trucks belong to that authority, and accounts receive truck-scoped access. Money stays with the truck's owner. Employee drivers may upload receipts and never see that truck's money. IFTA may consolidate miles and gallons for the authority; CarrierAgent does not compute tax dollars.

Two-minute fit check

Start with the four facts that change the workflow.

Your answers stay in this browser. Nothing is sent to CarrierAgent unless you choose to send the prefilled email at the end.

Indiana done-for-you is the launch path to ask about.

CarrierAgent is preparing Indiana as its only managed-filing launch jurisdiction. The service is not taking paying filings yet. Any future filing step still depends on a handwritten POA-1 that names a person, complete records, portal access, your approval, and the official agency process. Sending the fit check starts a conversation. It is not an engagement, and it is not a filing. You still pay the state.

The state’s system stays the system of record. Indiana carriers process and pay quarterly IFTA returns through the Indiana Department of Revenue’s own motor carrier services. CarrierAgent claims no affiliation, endorsement, or acceptance. Indiana DOR Motor Carrier Services

Straight answers.

Is this live for paying filings?
No. Managed filing service pending Indiana authorization. The fit check starts a conversation; it is not an engagement, filing, submission, payment, or acceptance.
Are you the Indiana Department of Revenue?
No. CarrierAgent is an independent service. No affiliation, endorsement, or approval from Indiana DOR. Their portal stays the system of record. You still pay the state.
What is a Power of Attorney here?
Indiana Form POA-1. It names a real person at CarrierAgent, not just the company. It has to be a handwritten signature, not a typed name. It covers IFTA filing only. It never lets us cash a refund check. You can revoke it.
Does the app decide how much tax I owe?
No. Indiana's portal computes the tax after the four numbers are entered. CarrierAgent organizes miles and gallons. It does not invent a tax-due figure.
What if Indiana is not my base state?
Then this service is not for you. Guided IFTA is the honest path: we line up the quarter and you file in your own state's portal.
What does it cost?
Pricing is not published. No checkout or payment is live.
